COMMUNITY CONNECTION · PORTLAND
A PLACE TO LEARN. SPACE TO RECHARGE. WAYS TO GIVE BACK.
Learn something useful. Make a connection. Show up for someone else.
Black Ember House brings young people, families, and people who serve others together through practical learning, opportunities to recharge, and community service.
LEARN. RECHARGE. SERVE TOGETHER.
Useful skills. Room to breathe. Opportunities to contribute.
LEARN
Our youth leadership programs build decision-making, communication, and relationship skills through engaging activities. We're developing 2027 pilots for grades 4–5 and 6–8 with schools and community partners.
RECHARGE
Everyone deserves room to recharge. Through journaling, mindfulness, movement, and creative expression, we create welcoming spaces for adults to pause, reconnect, and restore their energy. Come as you are. Participate in ways that feel right for you.
SERVE TOGETHER
Meaningful service brings communities closer. Through blood drives, volunteer opportunities, and community partnerships, we bring people together to support others and make a difference.

UNITS OF BLOOD COLLECTED
SMALL ACTS. SHARED IMPACT.
On September 12, 2026, we held our first American Red Cross blood drive, unsure how many people would walk through the door. You showed up, and together, we collected 26 units of blood to help patients in need. Nearly one in three donors were giving blood for the first time.
For a new organization, that support meant more than we can say. Thank you to every donor, volunteer, and partner who believed in this beginning and helped bring it to life.
NEXT UP:

March 13, 2027 | 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
